Coronavirus (COVID-19): What You Should Know
  • Coronavirus is impacting many members of different communities, worldwide. It is very important to stay updated with all information regarding health and safety for you and your family during this pandemic.
  • It is important for all of us to follow the guidelines from local, state and federal agencies at this time.
  • As Coronavirus continues to spread rapidly across the globe many parents are increasingly on edge. As cases continue to increase nationally and globally people are becoming increasingly concerned for the health of their children.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

Disaster Safety for Expecting and New Parents

Disasters, such as wildfires, hurricanes, and floods, can be unpredictable and devastating. We here in Orange County, FL are familiar with disaster preparedness, but its no excuse to not be up-to-date on how you can best secure you and your family.

Florida's Safe Haven Law and Information

​According to Florida's Safe Haven Law you can leave your baby up to 7 days old with an employee at any hospital, emergency medical services station, or at any fire station in Florida.  You can call the confidential, toll-free hotline 1-888-510-BABY(2229) and for more information click here. ​
